  • Background: TB disease is one of the significant health problem in Indonesia. In addition, Indonesia is the country with the highest number of TB patients to-5 in the world after India, China, South Africa and Nigeria. Estimated number of TB patients in Indonesia is about 5.8% of the total number of TB patients in the world. WHO has recommended DOTS strategy as a strategy in TB control since 1995. World Bank said the DOTS strategy as one of the most effective health interventions. Integration into primary health care is highly recommended for efficiency and effectiveness, so necessary to study prescribing patterns of TB treatment in health care facilities. Objective: To determine the prescribing patterns of TB treatment in healthcare facilities Belitung district. Research methods: The study design was a descriptive study with analytic of case study research design. Data collected in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data obtained through a survey of prescriptions and documents. Qualitative data in the form of in-depth interviews. Results: The prescribing patterns of TB treatment conducted in the hospitals district Belitung as follows: the average item of drugs used per prescription sheet items 3.56,% 100% generic name,% 100% antimicrobial prescribing, prescribing injectable% 0%,% prescriptions in accordance with the hospital formulary 0%,% drug accordance with treatment guidelines 100%. RS Bhakti Timah Tanjungpandan is the average item of drugs used per prescription sheet items 3.54,% 72.52% generic name,% 100% antimicrobial prescribing, prescribing injectable% 0%,% prescriptions in accordance with the hospital formulary 87, 02%,% of drugs in accordance with treatment guidelines 85.49%. Klinik Utama Tanjungpandan is the average item of drugs used per sheet 3.79 prescription drug items,% 65.21% generic name,% antimicrobial prescribing in accordance with 100%, 0%% prescription injection,% formulary prescribing in accordance with 0%, and% prescribing in accordance with treatment guidelines 77.14%. Conclusions: Of the 3 health facilities in the district hospitals Belitung district. Billiton has followed the treatment guidelines in accordance with national TB control TB, while Bhakti Hospital and Clinical Lead Home Tanjungpandan not follow.
