  • Reintroduction of Sumatran orangutans can be an important tool to conserve the species in the face of the current decline of wild populations. The objectives of this research are to describe the behaviour, feed and daily range of 8 orangutans rehabilitated in a reintroduction station of Nature Reserve Jantho, Aceh Besar. Data collection was conducted using focal animal instantaneous. The daily activity data were grouped based on their ethogram and adopted "The Standard of Orangutan's collection" from Morrogh-Bernard et al. (2002). The behavior of orangutans consist of three prime activities, that were feeding, resting and moving. The others behavior were social interaction and nesting. The result showed that the daily activity proportions consisted of 47,32% (resting), 37% (feeding), 14,75% (moving), 0,52% (social) dan 0,41% (nesting). Sumatran orangutans consume 42 plants species from 20 families. The average daily range of all focal individuals is 0,7-26,2 ha.
