- This study is aimed to evaluate the implementation of a strategic management system and determine the effectiveness of MBOS (Management by Olympic System) as a strategic management tool based on the concept of RBM (Result-Based Management) at Sinarmas Forestry Group The primary data are collected from 20 respondents of Sinarmas Forestry employees through direct interview Based on the secondary data collection and interviews, an analysis was conducted between the target and the results, it showed that implementation of MBOS from 2009 to 2011 positively impacted pulp productivity, although the cost of the wood is still far from the target. So it can be concluded that the implementation of MBOS is quite effective in reaching the target 12T/16T/250K priority. The solution needed to be able to achieve the target of 250K is by increasing the quantity and quality of SDA and Index Competition that focuses on cost efficiency in a participatory and serious implementation. Moreover MBOS implementation also needs to prioritize social and environmental aspects, as both aspects are equally important in order to be a world class company.
