- This research was aimed to find out the influence of cow manure and compound fertilizer to mustard performance and nitrogen uptake on a mixture of ground volcanic ash and ultisol. This research carried out of in February 2012 until August 2012 in greenhouse situated at Kuningan, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. The ratio a mixture of volcanic ash and Ultisol is 2 : 1. Complete Random Design has been used, consist of two factors with three replications. The first factor is: rate cow manure (0 %, Â1⁄2 %, 1 %, 2 %, and 4 %). The second factor is compound fertilizer (Phonska) with 0 and 1 ton/ha Ponska. Observed parameters are: plant growth, and N uptake. Research data is being analyzed by analysis of variance. The results show no significant difference for all measured parameters.
