- This study aims to analyze the reaction of investors in Indonesian capital market regarding to the postponed of the increasing of oil price, in relation to legalization of Article 7 Paragraph 6a APBN-P 2012 in House of Representative plenary session on March 30, 2012. This study examines the significance of abnormal return and tests the differences on abnormal return and trading volume activity before and after the event occurred. Event study was used as a research method in this study. The study used 44 companies that included in LQ45 category of Indonesian Stock Exchange as the sample. The results showed significant abnormal returns around the event period. Moreover, the study showed significant difference in the trading volume activity but there was no significant difference in the abnormal return before and after the event.
