- Background: Proper diet modification is a method to increase intake in patients with DM type 2 in hospitals. Diet modification usually implemented at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital is liquid extra feeding for DM patients enriched with tempe containing slow absorbed carbohydrate, arginin and isoflavon much needed by DM patients. Objective: To compare effect of hospital formulated liquid extra feeding supplementation enriched with tempe and commercial liquid feeding to nutrition intake and blood glucose level of DM type 2 inpatients with inadequate nutrition intake at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital Jakarta.
