- measures The objectives of this study are: 1) determine the level and proportion of community participation in forest management, (2) identify the factors affecting the community�s participation in forest management, (3) give some improvement that can be done to increase community participation. The study was conducted in Malasari Village, Nanggung Subdistrict, Bogor Residence, West Java Province, using mixed method - the qualitative support quantitative method. The total samples were 100 respondents which took from the group member of Model Kampung Konservasi (MKK) and 8 informants. The respondents and informants were respectively sampled using random and purposive sampling techniques. : The results showed that the level of community participation in the program was low, proven by the proportion of community participation of most community in Malasari Village in forest management is at low level. The factors that significantly affected community participation are nonformal education, extent of agricultural land, family dependents, extension activities by government and extension activities by non-government. The factors were not significant are motivation, perception and the role of group leader. Furthermore, the steps that can be done for the improvement of community participation are 1) establish a well condition inside the MKK
