- Interlanguage pragmatics (PBA) is a combination of pragmatics and second language acquisition. PBA focuses on the use of second or foreign language and the relationship between second language (L2) form and its users. To be able to communicate well, speakers should have a pragmatic and sociocultural competence of the language spoken. Misunderstanding pragmatic and sociocultural rules of a language may lead to serious communication problems.
