- This study aims to: 1).Explains the Minimax concept used by Slamet Abdul Sjukur in his music work. 2).Elaborates the internal and external factors affecting Slamet Abdul Sjukur�s creativity process. 3).Understands the application concept of Minimax in the music work �Uwek-Uwek� and �100 ABG BaBu�. This study uses qualitative method. The steps are data processing, the choosing of two Minimax works as the object of the study, and the analysis of the chosen works. The study�s results are: 1).Minimax concept is done creatively in a limited condition (minimum) to get the maximum purpose. 2).The affecting internal factors are: the support of the family when Slamet Abdul Sjukur began to learn music, then the experiences he got from his teachers, and his life struggle to finish his six years study without paying for his own and his effort to enter professional music world in France. The external factor is the limitation in playing music and reading notation, then the nonconventional instrument usage with the time and creative theme ordered by the client. 3).The Minimax concept in �Uwek-Uwek� is applied involving amateur musician and using mouth organ as non-conventional sound source (minimum) along with the mouth�s sound exploration (maximum). In �100 ABG BaBu�, Minimax concept is applied in choosing 100 teenagers as common musician and kentongan as easily obtained instrument (minimum), the creativity processing of improvisation by the 100 teenagers, which surpassed Slamet Abdul Sjukur�s imagination, and the use of space element within the work (Maximum).
