- Mantra Orang Jawa (MOJ) is a rewrite of incantation of Java in the form of poetry. In Javanese culture, incantation has unlimited functions. This sparked an assumption that the anthology of MOJ has a special significance. However, the significance is not conveyed directly, but through signs. This study aims to perform the significance research process of the six poems in anthology of MOJ, which conveyed through signs. The poems title of sample were, �Merasuk ke Jiwa Raga Orang Lain�, �Kidung�, �Mantra Keselamatan Diri�, �Mantra untuk Mendatangkan Harta Dunia�, �Mantra agar Dicintai Selama-lamanya�, and �Mantra Keselamatan Diri�. The significance of the six poems in anthology of MOJ used Riffaterre�s semiotic theory. The steps should be taken were, the heuristic reading followed by a hermeneutic reading
