- Coastal and marine natural resources are increasingly aware that coastal and marine resources are the promising aspect in supporting the economy of the society in Pramuka Island. The reasonable consequences from coastal and marine natural resources as common resources property and open access makes the utilisation of coastal and marine become increased in every regions, including in the Pramuka Island. The Pramuka Island is an island that include in Kepulauan Seribu DKI Jakarta, and belonging to the National Park of Kepulauan Seribu, which became one of the island for tourism destination. The objective of this research are to examine the contribution of the tourism toward total income household and analise the level of the welfare through the contribution of tourism in Pramuka Island. The method that was used in this research is survey method. The population of this research is the household of Pramuka Island that utilised the tourism sector to fulfill their needs. Not all the population in the Pramuka Island are used in this research only 30 household that used in this research as a sample to represent the population with simple random sampling method. The analysis that use in the research are quantitative and qualitative. The society welfare observe from every specific aspect such as income, health, education, household consumstion, condition and housing facility, and also the security in the area as the indicators of the welfare. The result from the research of 30 respondens that utilise the tourism sector indicate that the level of society welfare in Pramuka Island have the income average (Rp/month) in total is Rp. 9.451.667,-. Whereas for the income in tourism sector is Rp. 8.606.667,-. This shows that 91% income contribution from tourism, while the remaining 9% comes from non-tourism sector. The welfare in Pramuka Island also seen by eleven indicators that issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics, 2005, obtained from 30 household are at a high level of welfare (100%), its means that the contribution of tourism are influance significantly toward the prosperity of community in Pramuka Island. The criteria of their house shows that the conditions of their house that they lived in Pramuka Island is (76.67%) are the semi permanent house, 20% of is the permanent and 3,33% is non permanent. The evaluation criteria for community residential facilities in Pramuka Island based on the criteria are most complete categorized by the percentage value of 90%, while 10% are included in the moderate category. The criteria of health statistic show that 83.33% of respondents stated that family member's health is in good condition (25% have suffered from illness), and as much as 16.67% of respondents said that family member's health condition is moderate (25-50% had suffered from illness). Criteria in the health care included in middle category with a percentage value of 90%, while the rest is in difficult category (10%). Criteria for the ease of sending children to school in Pramuka Island is included in the category with the percentage value of 93.33%, the category of easy and difficult assessment of each by 3.33%. The criteria of the easiness in transportation facility belong to facilitate category 66.67%, moderate category 30 % and 3.33% difficult category. Criteria of religious tolerances are very high (100%). Sense of safety factor has a high perception (100%). While the ease of doing sports in Pramuka island, the majority (53.33%) stated easy exercise and 46.67% stated are less easily. Social welfare in Pramuka Island seen from eleven indicators that issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics 2005, was obtained from the 30 household that makes tourism activity as their line of business was at a high level of welfare (100%) it shows that the contribution of tourism have a significant effect on the welfare of the people in Pramuka island.
