Daftar Isi:
- Dengue infection is a major threat to global health, especially in tropical and subtropical regions, including Indonesia. Manifestations of dengue infection vary widely, ranging from asymptomatic to symptomatic, such as the undifferentiated fever, dengue fever (DF), DHF or dengue shock syndrome (DSS). One of the central hypotheses for pathogenesis of DHF/DSS was antibodydependent enhancement that had been proposed 3 decades ago. Preexisting antibodies to one serotype form immune complexes with heterotypic serotypes. This immune complexes bind to FcyII receptor at monocytes/macrophages that will facilitate entry, replication and spread of DENV. This was an observational analyticalstudy with a cross-sectional design to determine expression of monocyteâs FcÎ3IIR in patient with dengue infection and healthy subjects. The study subjects were patients with DENV infection based on WHO 2011 criteria, hospitalized at RSUP DR. Sardjito Yogyakarta, RSUD PanembahanSenopatiBantul, RSUD Sleman, and resident/relatives with consecutive selected and met Inclusion or exclusion criteria. Expression of monocytesâsFcyIIR (CD32) in whole blood were determined using flowcytometry with lyse no wash principle. This study included 41 patients with dengue infection and 24 healthy subjects.Expression of monocytesâFcyIIR (CD32) were significantly higher in patients with dengue infection as compare to healthy subjects
