  • Maintenance is the main key to maintain the road in accepted condition (good and fair condition). PMS is the important aspect as well as the future development focused on enhancement and maintenance of existing infrastructures. Maintenance in project level is using manual system generally, based on IRI and historical strip-map, so that road condition analysis required by an appropriate PMS in order to provide maintenance represent to the real condition and road service become more optimal. The study was conducted to analyze the value of road condition, to apply treatment strategy and maintenance priority and to select repair options. Analysis method was using Bina Marga method and PCI method as a comparison. Parameters used by Bina Marga method are IRI and SDI. SDI measurement criteria are cracks, potholes, and rutting. Parameters used by PCI are road defect types, severity level, and quantity. Batas Bina Marga method commonly provided the average value better than PCI method. Priority and treatment strategy resulted by Bina Marga method was Lingkar Selatan Wonosari using reconstruction, while PCI method resulted Kota Wonosariâ��Ngeposariâ��Pacucakâ��Bedoyoâ��Duwet using periodic maintenance. Bina Marga method provided more common repair option, whereas PCI method was more detail and more option. Bina Marga method was more appropriate to be applied at programming purposes, otherwise PCI method was more appropriate to be used at project level. Based on the analysis and field observation, the PCI method more represented to the real condition with the result value that the road condition of the priority road, Lingkar Selatan Wonosari Km 1+20 to Km 2+20, was very poor and required to be reconstructed.
