- This research aims to analyze the factors that influence poverty rate in North Maluku Province in the period 2006 � 2011. The data used are secondary data which include poverty rate, economic growth, unemployment, the realization of government spending on education and health, and the percentage of school enrollment. The analytical tool used in this research is the analysis of panel data regression with fixed effect model estimation techniques. The results showed that the variables of economic growth and the realization of government spending on education and health negatively and significantly effect to the poverty rate, while school enrollment variable has a negative and significant effect on poverty. Furthermore, it was found that a variable number of unemployed has positive and significant impact on poverty rate.
