- This study aims to analyze the impact of government investment in the construction sector on sector output, the distribution of labor income and employment, the distribution of household income and its characteristics, as well as the demand for goods and services (commodities), both domestic and imported. The data used to analyze was the Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) Indonesia 2008 with the help of software applications developed by the World Bank, "Simulation for Social Indicators and Poverty: IO and SAM Analysis" (SimSIP SAM). The analytical tools are multiplier analysis and structural path analysis (SPA). Multiplier analysis is used to analyze the impact of Rp5 trillion government investment injection in the construction sector on sectoral output, the distribution of labor income and employment, the distribution of household income, as well as the demand for domestic and imported commodities. Structural path analysis is used to analyze the basic path of the construction sector, as the impact of government investment injection, towards institutional households. The analysis result shows that Rp5 trillion of government investment in the construction sector have impacts on: (1) the increased output in all sectors of production of Rp15.3 trillion or an increase of 0.15 percent
