  • The development of the local aluminum industry in particular small and medium sized wheel motorcycle fast enough. Despite rapid but there are still obstacles in terms of quality. One method used in order to improve the quality of the local motorcycle wheels are centrifugal casting method. Centrifugal casting uses centrifugal force generated by the rotating mold to cast the molten metal into the mold wall. One of the automotive products that can be produced by this method are two-wheeled vehicles wheels. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of variation of solution heat treatment T6 time and temperature variations aging the results of physical and mechanical properties of cast aluminum alloy A356 castings motorcycle wheels. The material used was aluminium alloy A356. The main compositon of this material was 8,06% Silicon and 0,16% magnesium. The temperature of the casting (pouring) 750 °C, preheating the mold (mold) 250 °C, with rotation of 400 rpm. The addition of 7.5% Al-TiB into 5 kg cast aluminum alloy A356. Results foundry alloy made of ASTM standard specimens. The specimen is inserted into an electric furnace to T6 heat treatment temperature of 540 °C, variations in hold time 30, 60, 120, 180 and 240 minutes. Variations in precipitation heat treatment temperature 100 °C, 125 °C, 150 °C, 175 °C, 200 °C with a hold for 3 hours, referring to ASTM standards (2004). Results showed hardness, tensile strength and toughness, and density results in general castings have increased. Improved physical and mechanical resistance occurred at 120 minutes with a T6 heat treatment temperature of 100 oC aging. After heat treatment and aging process affects the mechanical properties and the results of castings where morphological differences seen in the aluminum matrix grain boundaries, which is believed to be the formation of precipitates Mg2Si compound. Meanwhile, the results of microstructural observations indicate a change in the shape and size of the grain due to T6 heat treatment and aging temperature
