  • Job satisfaction is an attitude that describes how a person's feelings about his work as a whole (Spector, 2000), in principle, the level of job satisfaction of each person is different according to the assessment of a person's feelings towards his job. The purpose of this research is to capture how job satisfaction functional officials in the Ministry of Trade and to determine whether there is a correlation / relationship between job satisfaction functional official at the Ministry of Commerce with gender, age, duration of work, education and marital status. The respondents of this study are functional officials in the Ministry of Commerce totaled 150 people. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of primary and secondary data. Retrieval of primary data through questionnaires spread throughout respondents. Measuring instruments used scaling method (Method Summated Rating) is a likert scale refers to five (5) alternatives. From the result of validity test. Which tested all the job satisfaction criteria, 34 criteria were valid with a positive value of correlation (total correlation), where the value of r-(result) greater than r (table) (0,179).While the results of the reliability test came in at 0,924 very reliable figure. This research uses descriptive statistics data analysis which aims to describe or give an overview of the job satisfaction of functional officials in the Ministry of Trade Portrait of job satisfaction of functional officials in the Ministry of Trade are categorize is being as much as 74% which was influenced by a factor of wages, promotion, supervision, rewards, benefits, environment, competence, the occupation itself and communication within an organization. The results of the ttest between the sexes men and women with job satisfaction is there is no correlation between gender and job satisfaction. Test results correlation between age and job satisfaction and long work with job satisfaction is there is a significant relationship means there is the influence of job satisfaction by age with job satisfaction and job satisfaction working with long The relationship between the level of education with job satisfaction after analysis was done by using Spearman Rank the results did not mean there was no significant effect between job satisfaction with level of education. For marital status and job satisfaction after the test results are not done significant t means that there is no influence between job satisfaction and marital status of officials of the Ministry of environment in functional Trade
