  • Background. An implant can be said as a successful implant when there is no infection happens. This research was conducted based on the existence of differences of implant diameter and the numbers and distance between the screws in Mini dental Implant (MDI) with Q-implants. Inflammations on peri-implant are mostly invisible. Therefore, there was a research conducted on the effects of implants on gingival inflammation by observing the numbers of leukocyte and the volume of sulcus gingival liquid. Research methodology, this research employed Ex Post Facto methodology by observing the numbers of leukocyte and the volume of sulcus gingival liquid on the subject that used MDI implant with Qimplants. Result of observation: average numbers of leukocyte on MDI group was 17.20 ± 3.22 and on Q-implants group was 71.30 ± 60.14 (p<0.05). Average volume of sulcus gingival liquid on MDI group was 3.20 ± 1.01 and on Qimplants group was 7.05 ± 1.05 (p<0.05). Conclusion, the numbers of leukocyte and the volume of sulcus gingival liquid on MDI is lower than on Q-implants.
