- Background:At-Turots Al-Islamic Yogyakartahospital had beendeveloping technology-based information system. The intended use of the technology is expected to affect management processes that have a positive impact on the strategy and performance of the organization to maintain and enhance existence. Objective: This object was to develop a models of hospital management information systems at At-Turots Al-Islami hospital. Methods: This research is a case study design. Data were collected through indept interview. The subject consisting of the Director of Hospital, Medical & Nursing Services Manager, Public Administration & Finance Manager, Head of Accounting, Head of Medical Records, and six medical records clerks outpatient unit. Results: The procedure of recording and data management outpatient unit both manual and computerized start from input, process and output is not maximized so that the resulting data and information provided inaccurate and not timely. the design is made for the development HMIS is output design, input design, system design, and technology design. Design output is required the information needs of internal and external hospitals, while the design of the system is described by the DFD and ERD. Conclusion: The system design is based on information needs for internal and external parties. In addition, the data management unit outpatient become more effective and minimize loosing data or duplicate data. It is beneficial for the development of programs and supporting the availability of data that is accurate, complete and timely At-Turots Al-Islami Yogyakarta Hospital.
