- Maintenance Departement is one of the most important departemen in PT KMI to support methanol production in the plant. In order to support production, maintenance need to apply best maintenance practices to the existing maintenance management system so that the equipments are able to perform accordance with theirs functions and capacities. Consequently, the existing system should be evaluated so the weakness of the system can be identified and improved. In this study, maintenance management system was surveyed based on sixteen surveyed criterions questioneries of Wireman (2004) to the selected employees from maintenance departement. The results of the survey are compared to the surveyed results that have been carried out by Wireman (2004) to 100 industrial companies in the USA. From surveyed outcomes, there are 6 criterions results are exceeding the result of Wireman survey and there are 10 criterions are less than the result of Wireman survey. From the analysis of 10 criterions, there are 2 most important problems should be improved
