- This research aims to measure the impact of ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement toward Micro Small Medium Entreprise in Yogyakarta and also to review the efforts of Jogjakarta regional government in providing protection to help the MSME (Micro Small Medium Entrepise) to encounter the ACFTA and its impact. This is a normative juridical type of research which means this research is based on primary data, secondary data and tertiary data. Primary data was obtained through field research. Field research was conducted through interview the main resource and through out distribut the angket to respondent. The field research is aimed to measure the impact of ACFTA toward Micro, Small and Medium Entreprise. While the secondary data was obtained through library/deocumentary research. The result, which obtained through field and library research, are then analyed qualitatively by using descriptive method. The result from this analysis later is presented by providing to the reader and explaining the theory so it will answer the questions. The result of the research shows that there is a deflations of Micro Small Medium Enterprises�turnover as the impact of ACFTA. But the research also shows that overall the implementation of ACFTA has insignificant impact of Yogyakarta�s overall trade balance. In fact it brings no negative impact toward Yogyakarta trade balance. Regional government has taken into action some efforts to ensure that the micro, small medium enterprise industry is protected. The efforts are such as training for SME, promotion, the establishment Center of Business Service and The Intellectual Property Right Management and Micro Small Medium Enterprise based on information and communication technology.
