  • This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between age and managerial performance, and whether organizational commitment and participative budgeting mediate the relationship between age and managerial performance. Using data qothered from questionnire survey with sample of head of Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (SKPD) of Ambon city government, it was found that age had no significant direct effect on managerial performance. Participative budgeting does not mediate the relationship between age and managerial performance. The results however show that organization commitment has mediates the relationship between age and managerial performance.
