  • This research aims to find out the ability of ejector as a replacement of expansion instrument in increasing efficiency of refrigeration system. The using of this ejector is expected reducing the compressor work, increasing refrigeration effect on evaporator which could increase the efficiency of the system directly. The experiment would be conducted by comparing the modificationâ��s refrigeration system utilizing two phase ejectorwith conventional refrigeration system on an air conditioning system by calculating the ideal COP and the energy saving for both systems that is obtained by varying the load of evaporator, at the temperature of 30 0C, 35 0C, 40 0C, and 45 0C. The result showed that there is an improvement about 1.14 average on COP. The compressor work itself decreased by 0.1 kW, the energy saving hat could e obtained for a month up to 0.087 kW, also the average of efficiency in an air conditioning and refrigeration system using ejector instrument as a eplacement of expansion instrument was 8.5%. Overall by using ejector instrument as a replacement expansion gave an improvement for the system.
