Daftar Isi:
- The number of malaria case in Purworejo has increased from 2002 to 2009. The objectives of this research are, first, to assess the enviromental characteristics that shown from the imagery of remote sensing to estimate malarias susceptibility region, second, to find out the dissemination and the accuracy level of remote sensing imagery in the determination of malarias susceptibility region, third, to assess the relation between each of malarias susceptibility determination variable and map of malarias susceptibility from the analysis of remote sensing imagery and geographical information system in Purworejo. The method used in this research was examnined the variables related to Landsat 7 ETM + imagery such as the use of land, flow continuity and vegetation density (NDVI). The secondary data used are soil texture, soil permeabillity, rain intensity, altitude, slopes and temperature. All variables level based on the effect of malarias susceptibility and compiled with geographical information system for land units in order to obtain the grades of malarias susceptibility, which are High, medium, and low level of malarias susceptibility areas. Sample location determined with stratified random sampling. The results showed that high levels of susceptibility areas to malaria (HCI) are the District Bruno (7,176.09 ha), Bener (6,921.71 ha) and Kaligesing (5,543.03 ha). the largest medium level conditions of susceptibility areas to malaria (MCI) are the district Bruno (4,066.75 ha), Bener (3,082,39 ha), and Purwodadi (2,747.18 Ha ). The lowest level of susceptibility areas are the District Grabag (6,599.17 ha), Ngombol (5,317.96 ha) and Butuh (4,814.75 ha). Accuracy of whole interpretation results is 91%. Accuracy of whole classification level of malarias result is 88.52%. The whole results of the statistical analysis based on the Bivariat correlation coefficients for the variables that affect the of susceptibility to malaria are : (1) Soil permeability, (2) Soil texture, (3) Vegetation dencity, (4) the continuity of the flow, (5) Slope (6) Rain intensity, (7) Altitude, (8) Temperature, and (9) Landuse. The results of the statistical analysis based on the Bivariat correlation for the variables that affect the high lavel of susceptibility to malaria (HCl) are: (1) Altitude, (2) Slope, (3) Vegetation dencity, (4) The continuity of the flow, (5) Landuse (6) Rain intensity (7) Temperature
