- Merger is being commenced by Khazanah as a direct and indirect owners of of Lippobank and CIMB Niaga, whereas Khazanah also decided to appoint CIMB Niaga to became surviving bank. This decision had been made was due to its commitment to implement Bank Indonesia Regulation namely Bank�s Single Presense Policy in Indonesia. Bank Indonesia Regulation Number: 8/16/PBI/2006 of Bank�s Single Presense Policy in Indonesia (SPP) become an important issue and strategic to the national banking industry. This Regulation is made in order to improve the effectiveness of banking supervision and encourage consolidation. Broadly speaking, though the point is that the shareholders should not have more than one bank, the SPP are concerns into two important things, firstly, investors bank in Indonesia can only be a single controlling shareholder (SCS), secondly, the SCS who has more than one bank in Indonesia should take 1 (one) out of 3 (three) following options (1) reduce the ownership in the bank, or (2) a merger or consolidation of banks, or 3) form a bank holding company (bank holding company). The merger of these two banks are certainly not gone through the valuation process of the target company (Bank Lippo) just like ordinary merger process, however for shareholders this merger is remain a strategic business decision with the final result should be resulting an optimal synergy value. The author therefore conducted a research to obtain a picture of financial performance and stock performance of Lippo Bank and Bank CIMB Niaga before the merger and Bank CIMB Niaga as surviving bank after the merger. Research and analysis of data processing is being done by using secondary data which is being defined as the achievement of financial performance of the management, in this case is financial management in achieving corporate objectives - to generate profit and increase shareholder value. This study includes three components as primary indicators of performance management, among others are: 1) the company's financial performance, 2) the soundness of the bank
