  • Empowerment is one important factor affecting followersâ�� performance. Followers who feel empowered will show high performance. But in empowering followers, their self-efficacy needs to be considered due to each follower having different self-efficacy. The study examined the effect of empowerment on employee performance with self-efficacy as a moderator variable: a study on Board of Financial Management and Property of Riau Islands Province. This research measured empowerment variable based on Spreitzer empowerment scale and variable of self-efficacy based on Bolman and Deal global self-efficacy and also performance variables based on Casimir, Waldman, Batram dan Yang performance scale. This study aims to determine whether the empowerment and self-efficacy affects the performance of staff who working at the Board of Financial Management and Property of Riau Islands Province. This study used a questionnaire as a measuring tool. The analysis in this study used simple regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis using SPSS. The results showed that the empowerment and self-efficacy has a positive and significant impact on performance and self-efficacy moderated the effect of empowerment on performance.
