  • Background: Jampersal is a free delivery policy from Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia in 2011. Its general purpose is to decrease MMR and IMR through obstetric healthcare access enhancement in many healthcare facilities. This program will increase patient visit that affect health worker-to-patient ratio and obstetric outcome as a result. Objective: To measure the effect of Jampersal implementation on health worker-to-patient ratio and obstetric outcome in Obsgin ERD of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital Jakarta. Design and Method: Pre and posttest quasi experimental design. Subjects are randomised from delivery women, all health workers, and whole patients in Obsgin ERD in one of the tertiary healthcare facility in Jakarta during nine months before and nine months after Jampersal implementation. Health worker per professional group per work shift are measured manually and divided by the number of patient per shift to obtain health worker-to-patient ratio. Complication as an obstetric outcome are measured from medical record. Result: Health worker-to-total patient ratio decrease from 5,53±2,36 to 3,73±1,04 averagely
