- Development by the government is aimed to improve economy growth and social welfare for the society. The research is about the Tourism Village Development based on community Based Tourism in Tourism Village of Candirejo, Borubudur County, Magelang Regency, Middle Java Province. Improvement of village tourism in Candirejo was initiated by the village chief who wanted Candi Rejo village to be tourism village and this idea was supported by the village�s residences. Candirejo was pioneered as tourism village in 1992, and was authenticated in 2003. A will to build this village as tourism village was considered due to the society�s economic situation which was less prosperous and the village itself was quite isolated, especially from the huge tourism site in the province
