Daftar Isi:
- Sago has potential as a source of staple food other than rice, because it has an adequate carbohydrate content and have the ability to substitute in the food industry to help increase national food security. This study aims to: (1) Identify the ripe harvesting sago based on spectral reflectance characteristics of multispectral digital data channels and transformed vegetation index on Quickbird imagery and (2) Estimating production of sago ripe harvesting by using vegetation index transformation on Quickbird imagery. The method used was survey methods using satellite remote sensing imagery with digital analysis and fieldwork. Imagery was used in this study were multispectral Quickbird image of recorded in July 25, 2010 on area sago forest Sentani, and the field data was collected in October to November 2011. Vegetation index studied were Normalized Differences Vegetation Index (NDVI), Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI) and Band Ratioing (b2/b3). In addition there were several steps in digital image processing
