Daftar Isi:
- This research aims to find out the total phenol levels in te plant Camelia sinensis L. clones Kiara and PS, to know the influence of the phenolic compounds of preference Empoasca sp. Research carried out in August 2011 to march 2012 at the laboratory of applied Entomology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of pharmacy Gadjah Mada University. Results of the analysis of the levels of total phenolic with spectrophotometry uv-vis clones have phenol levels of PS 25,69 ± 0,1 dan Kiara 18,47 ± 0,13 (Polyphenol average ± SD). Extraction testing using the principle of no choice that is using one type of host plants. Empoasca sp. intentionally released each ten to tea plants that were given away plastic mica. Treatment consists of shoots of tea extracts and deeping (not deeping). Extracts evenly throughout deeping leaves to the petiole. The extract is made by weighing the results of freeze drying as much 20 g/200 ml methanol solvent and observation for 3 days obtained the result of knockout (Kiara clone without smeared extract), such (Kiara clone that is smeared extract PS), Po (PS clone without smeared extract), and Pk (PS clone that smeared extract Kiara clone) the number of Empoasca sp. living different real after analyzed by Anova and test BNJ 5 %, Empoasca sp. die out because of the levels of phenolic extract the shoots of PS deeping on treatment that such higher and alleged to influence behavior of eating Empoasca sp. and eventually to death. A compound of phenolic in extract of a leaf bud tea clone PS of allegedly is indirect toxicity for observation the first day of the number of Empoasca sp. that infest as many as ten tail found no one die (not diminished). An research result of Dowd and Vega (1996) a compound alellochemical tested in insects piercing sucking around corn leafhopper Dalbulus maidis (Homoptera : Cicadellidae) known also is indirect toxicity. Toxicity affected by high levels of compounds low-self alellochemical.
