Daftar Isi:
  • Soil mesofauna is an organism that plays a role in the reshuffle plant material and dead animals, the transport of organic matter from the soil surface into the belowground, improving soil structure and soil formation processes. The presence of soil mesofauna strongly influenced by stand composition, age of vegetation and environmental conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity and populations of soil mesofauna by season, age and planting pattern on teak stands and look at the relationship between environmental factors with the pattern of spread of mesofauna. The study was conducted in two seasons at Muna district during the rainy season and dry season. Soil mesofauna collected used Pencuplikan Contoh Tanah (PCT) and separated by dry extraction Funnel Barlese technique. Environmental factors observed are physical properties of soil, soil chemistry, and the type of vegetation in each stand. Research is known that the value of diversity of mesofauna soil in the rainy season is greater than the dry season, diversity in mixed stands higher when compared with monoculture stands and diversity stand older than ten years is higher than the stand age of five years and fifteen years for mesofauna soil. It can bee seen from Monte Carlo Permutation Test that in the rainy season and the dry season has a value of P < from 0,05.
