  • Antioxidant is an important agent to protect and reduce the oxidative damage. The aim of the research is to isolate and to identify a 2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl radical scavenger compound of selected edible mushroom among 5 edible mushrooms in DIY. Isolation was also carried out to the main compound found in the selected mushroom. Antioxidant activity assay of 5 mushroom ethanolic extracts exhibited that ear mushroom (Auricularia polytricha (Mont.) Sacc.) has the highest antioxidant activity (IC50 49,3 ± 3,19 Î1⁄4g/ml). The ear mushroom extract was fractionated using 80 % methanol. The soluble fraction was separated using Vacum Liquid Chromatography with 4 eluents and obtained 4 fractions (F1-F4). Active fraction (F3) was isolated using Preparative TLC and resulted isolate 1. Isolation of main coumpound produced an isolate 2. Both of isolates were identied by UV, IR, GC/LC-MS dan 1H/13C-NMR spectroscopy. The result exhibited that IC50 of isolate 1 was 347,8 ± 3,09 Î1⁄4g/mL. The UV spectrum of isolate 1 showed λMeOH max at 203 nm. The IR spectrum of isolate 1 showed absorption of a hydroxy (3600 cm-1), double bond (1650 cm-1), CH2 (1400 cm-1) and CH3 (1250 cm-1).
