- In the last decade, the issue of climate change phenomenon has been a serious debate for the people around the world. The impact of the climate change symptom can be felt or experience directly by a societal group in coastal area. Belawan Bahari fishermen in Medan Belawan district, Medan city, North Sumatera province is one of the fishermen community who allegedly suffered the effects of the climate change phenomenon. �Belawan� marine waters which had been forded by them for the sake of their lives, declared as one of the affected areas which impacted by the climate change. The problems being experienced by �Belawan Bahari� fishermen related with the climate change phenomenon was revealed in this study by tracing: 1) their knowledge in understanding and predicting the circumstances of the environment (over the sea)
