- Big achievement of internet has changed many ways to do things. One of internet usage is providing mass media. Mass media can be in form of news. News can be presented in a website by provider. Emergence of web services technology is very possible for mass media provider to sell news services to other parties. The usages of web service enable to emerge several threats which will interfere data availability, confidentiality, and integrity. Thereby, those need a security standard to handle it. One of basic security standard is WS-Security that use XML Encryption and Signature. However, the usage of WS-Security has weakness at long time conversation of messages exchange because each message has to be signed. The solution is using WS-SecureConversation. Basic concept of WS-SecureConversation is to build security context between services provider and their subscriber. This research had outcame web of mass media provider which been integrated using web services to sell News Services for subscriber. That web services use WS-SecureConversation specification. Then, it was compared with WS-Security specification about time processing of request or response messages. The process of requesting and responsing messages was done as many as 100 time at each security specification. The result is WS-SecureConversation had processing time lower than WS-Security. It evinces that on plenty of messages exchange , WS-SecureConversation had processing time lower than WS-Security.
