- Background: One of the important things of keeping health is drug because it can save life and increase the good quality of health. In order that it has high quality and benefits many people, the management of drug storage is required. The drug storage in region such as that at provincial and regency/municipality levels is done in a drug room or pharmaceutical installation. The local government of Keerom Regency, which is one of 29 regencies/municipalities in Papua Province. One of the techniques of increasing the level of knowledge among drug managers in drug storage management is to make intervention in small group discussions with feedback. Objective: The study was conducted to find out the effect of such intervention in the small group discussions with feedback for the drug storage managers in Public Health Center, Hospital, and Pharmaceutical Installation of Regency in terms of improving the good drug storage management. Method: It used a quasi-experimental design with pre and post analysis without control in a qualitative and quantitative manner. Result of the study was analyzed by a statistical technique. Subjects: Respondents of the study were the managers of drug storage in the pharmaceutical installation of Public Health Center, Hospital, and Pharmaceutical Installation of Regency. They were all personnel in drug management to observe the recording and reporting processes from reception to delivery of drug to users. Moreover, to measure the level of knowledge among the personnel of the drug management, observation list was used. Result: From 30 number of questions distributed to all the participants, no one obtained the values more than or equal to 70%. Of 12 participants, all the results of the pre-test were under the determined passing standards. if seen from the result of post-test, the 12 participants achieved the values more than or equal to limit of the passing values of 70% (� 70%). In other words, result of the answers of participants� post-test was � 21 number of right question s. The effect of the increased level of knowledge was that the personnel of drug management could manage the drug storage in their respective working places. Conclusion: Intervention by training and small group discussion with feedback could increase the level of knowledge among the personnel of drug management in Health Sub-Department of Keerom Regency to improve the good performance of drug storage management in pharmaceutical installation.
