- The aim of this survey study is to analyze the factors(promotion of infant formula, breastfeeding counseling, culture, andhusband support) influence toward exclusive breastfeeding. The studywas conducted in the region of Jumpandang Baru Primary Health Center.One hundred and thirty nursing mothers from the five villages thatrepresent the location of the study were recruited as sample using simplerandom sampling. Data were analyzed using simple linear regressionand followed by multiple linear regression test. The result of the studyindicates that the promotion of infant formula (p=0,000 â=-0,281), culture(p=0,008 â=-0,198) and husband support (p=0,000 â=0,453) significantlyinfluence the exclusive breastfeeding practice. Whereas breastfeedingcounseling (p=0,284 â=0,073) does not influence exclusive breastfeedingpractice. Husband support is the most influential determinant factor onexclusive breastfeeding (p=0,000 â=0,453).Keywords: exclusive breastfeeding practice, promotion of infantformula, culture, husband support.
