- The purpose of this descriptive study was todetermine the perceptions of parents about child abuse. Anumber of 41 parents who have children of school age inJetis Ponorogo is taken as the subject of this research. Analysisof data using T score. The results showed 58.5% havenegative perception and 41.5% have positive preception aboutchild abuse. Factors that influence respondents had a negativeperception is the lacking of information and knowledge, aswell as relatively low socioeconomic. Based on these results,it is expected relevant institutions can provide education onchild rights and child abuse.Key words: parents’ perception, child abus
