- The purpose of this quasi experiment research isto determine the effect of warm compress to the joints ofosteoarthritis pain in the elderly on Panti Wredha BudhiDharma, Yogyakarta. Sample of this research consist of 12elderly who suffer from osteoarthritis joint pain, taken withtotal sampling. Paired t-test showed effect of a warm compressto the joint pain in the elderly (p = 0.000). independentt test showed a differences decrease in joint pain, betweenthe control and experimental groups by 2.83 (p = 0.000;average value = 2.83).Key words: joint pain, osteoarthritis, warm compress
