  • Ecological studies of media in the era of globalization and information aims to analyze the media in making use of new media (online media) as a medium of communication and propaganda to be able to compete in his bid for an audience in the digital media era. This study shows that the mass media ecology can cope with declining number of audiences to the mainstream media. Because the distribution of information is no longer just rely on conventional media but also the mass media, including online media. This technology media presence as well as part of the conventional media aims to strengthen the function of the media in order to expand the audience through a distribution network of more diverse information. Competitions mass media were examined using the Media Ecology theory where media technology to compete in the same ecological space to fight the life-sustaining source of capital, content, and audience.
