  • Background: Drop Foot is a weakness of the leg muscles caused by damage or injury to peroneal peripheral nerves. Total Hip Replacement is an operation of hip joint replacement due to damage to the chronic joint stage. Meanwhile, Drop Foot ec. Total Hip Replacement is a weakness of the leg muscles due to trauma or injury to the peroneal nerve during or after the hip joint replacement surgery. Physiotherapy modalities used are Electrical Stimulation and exercise therapy such as passive exercise, active resisted excercise and isometric contraction. Purpose: To know the implementation of Physiotherapy in the case of Drop Foot ec. Total Hip Replacement in increasing the muscle strength of the foot movers, maintaining the scope of the ankle joint motion and preventing the occurrence of contractures and atrophy of the upper leg muscles to the feet. Result: After 4 times therapy, the results obtained (1) increase of ankle muscle strength from T1 = 0 to T4 = 1, foot dai T1 = 0 to T4 = 1, toes from T1 = 1 to T4 = 2, hallux from T1 = 1 to T4 = 2, (2) increase of LGS in the passive ankle joint of T1 = S 15-20-35 to T4 = S 18-20-40; (3) change of muscle volume in left lower limb Tuberosias tibia T1 = 33 cm to T4 = 33.5 cm, tibial tuberosity 5 cm to proximal T1 = 35cm to T4 = 35,5cm, tibial tuberosity 10 cm to proximal T1 = 38cm to T4 = 38,5cm, tuberosias tibia 5 cm to distal T1 = 35 cm to T4 = 35.5 cm, Tuberosity tibia 10 cm to distal T1 = 32 cm to T4 = 32.5 cm, Circumference T1 = 50 cm to T4 = 50.5 cm. Conclusion: Physiotherapy Implementation with modalities Electrical Stimulation and exercise therapy in the form of passive exercise, active resisted excercise and isometric contraction in case of Drop Foot ec. Total Hip Replacement has an effect on increasing muscle strength, scope of joint motion and muscle volume.
