Some kinds of plant can be used as an acid-base indicator alternative because they contains anthocyanin. Rhoeo discolor or sosongkokan contain purple pigment that is a flavonoid compounds, namely anthocyanin. This research aims to find out influences the type of solvent 95% etanol and 95% etanol + HC1% to change the color of the indicator paper acid-base and the effect time storage on stability of indicator paper acid-base from leaf extract of Rhoeo discolor after tested. The research used experimental method with completely randomized design using two treatment factor, namely the type of solvent (etanol 95% + HCl 1%) and time storage (0, 5, 10, 15 days). Parameter in this research is the color change on indicator paper acid-base from leaf extract of Rhoeo discolor into acid and base solution.
