  • This study aims to: 1) Describe the difficulties experienced by students dyscalculia in class III SDN Dlepih I District Tirtomoyo Wonogiri regency. 2) Describe the role of teachers in guiding children in mathematics learning difficulties in grade III students SDN Dlepih I District Tirtomoyo Wonogiri regency. This research type is qualitative research with case study research design. Techniques of collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The validity check of the data using source triangulation and engineering triangulation. The results showed that: 1) The difficulties experienced by dyscalculia students are difficulties in understanding mathematical processes, such as summing, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying, lack of understanding of symbols, such as difficulty distinguishing between signs (>) or larger by signs ( <) or smaller, lack of understanding in performing calculations due to the use of false calculation, low memory and concentration, such as difficulty in remembering and memorizing mathematical formulas, teacher explanations, and steps in working on problems, and as well as difficulty speaking and reading, such as difficulty in understanding the series of questions on the math problem in the form of written stories. 2) The role of teachers in guiding children with learning difficulties in mathematics include: giving special attention to the students, by giving direction, understanding, and learning motivation, providing learning guidance, such as mathematical symbol, place value, and multiplication counting and division operation, giving remedial learning , as well as doing cooperation with parents of students to always follow the development of children at home. Thus, this study can be concluded that the provision of guidance from teachers is helpful for dyscalculia students in overcoming the difficulties of learning mathematics.
