Analisis Faktor Risiko Dengan Kejadian Tuberkulosis Paru Pada Balita Di Balai Besar Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat Surakarta

- Tuberculosis is a disease of global concern. Tuberculosis in children causes 140,000 deaths annually. In 2016 there are 70 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis of children in BBKPM Surakarta and as many as 49 children under five years old. Toddlers have a greater risk of contracting tuberculosis because cellular immunity is not fully developed. This study aims to analyze risk factors associated with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in infants at BBKPM Surakarta. The type of this research is observational using Case Control approach with ratio 1: 2. The research population is all under five patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis in BBKPM Surakarta in 2016 and residing in Solo region as many as 46 children under five years with sampling technique used is saturated sampling . A total of 5 samples had dropped out so the total sample 41: 82 is 123 samples. Data analysis using Chi-square test. The result of the study showed that there was a correlation between household contact history (p = 0.000) and economic status (p = 0.000) with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in underweight at BBKPM Surakarta, but no association with family cigarette smoke (p = 0.602) Mother about pulmonary tuberculosis (p = 0.066).
