  • Personal hygiene among school children often do not consider that will cause health problems. Problems of health behavior in school-aged children usually associated with personal and environmental hygiene as brushing teeth properly, the habit of washing hands with soap and personal hygiene. Primary school age children including sensitive groups of diseases like infections (ISPA and diarrhea). Nutritional status an important role in physical growth of children. Children with poor nutritional status or less will experience physical growth barriers, disruption of the immune system, and therefore susceptible to infectious diseases.This study aims to determine the relationship of personal hygiene and the incidence of infection with the nutritional status of school-age children in SDN Telukan 03 Grogol Sukoharjo. Observational study with cross sectional design with a total sample of 44 children between the ages of 8-12 years. Sampling using Systematic Random Sampling. Personal hygiene data obtained through a questionnaire with 24 statements while the number of infection incidence data obtained through the questionnaire with a number of 10 questions. This analysis was tested using Pearson Product Moment. Students with normal nutritional status tends from students who have good personal hygiene category (79,4%) compared to students with personal hygiene category average (70,0%). Students with nutritional status is very thin and thin with infections showed the same results are respectively 6.3%. There is no relationship between personal hygiene and nutritional status of school-age children at SDN Telukan 03 Grogol Sukoharjo (p=0.494). There is no relationship between the incidence of infection with the nutritional status of school-age children in SDN Telukan 03 Grogol, Sukoharjo (p=0,381).
