- Background: Objective structured clinical assessment (OSCA) is performed to assess clinical competency and skills of students in an objective and structured. The Success implementation of OSCA is influenced by the ability of examiner in the OSCA, this is because the positive perception of nursing faculty to upgrade the competence of medical students in understanding the clinical practice in hospitals. The purpose of his study to describe the perception of lecturers on objective structured assessment clinikal (OSCA). Methods: This study was a quantitative with descriptive method. The study population is a lecturer of nursing who had been examiner OSCA at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The sample are 24 lecturers obtained by total sampling technique. Collecting data using questionnaires, while data analysis using descriptive test. Collecting data using a questionnaire designed by researchers who have tested so that valid and reliable, while the data were analyzed using univariate analysis. Result: Results from this study is the perception of nursing faculty to system components is positive ratings (92%), the implementation of procedures OSCA feedback component is positive (96%), on standardized of patient components was positive (88%), Reviewed OSCA process component is positive (100%), and the other components in the OSCA is positive (96%). Conclusion: perception of nursing faculty Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta on the implementation OSCA is largely positive, both in the assessment system components, feedback OSCA implementation procedures, Standardized Patient, OSCA process, and other components in the OSCA.
