  • Background: Classical dance style of Surakarta is one of the cultural heritage of the city of Solo. In the art of dance, classical dance is an art from that has undergone a long history. Classical dance movement is movement taht is refined and given an aesthetic element. In the dance of balance is needed to help maintain an upright posture and stabilize body position while moving. Objective: To determine the relationship of factors - factors that affect Classical Dance Style Surakarta to the balance on the dancers. Benefits: As the information for the dancers that balance is needed in dance. Methods: The study was observational with crosssectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, that the sampling is based on specific criteria made by the researchers themselves. Balance measurements performend using the Berg Balance Scale. Data were analyzed using Pearson Corelation test. Results: Calculation of the Pearson correlation values obtained dancer r = 0.767 and p = 0.04 (<0.05), then H0 rejected and H1 accepted which means there is a relationship between age and the age and balance. R = 0.812 and p = 0.032 (<0.05), then H0 rejected and H1 accepted which means there is a relationship between age and BMI with balance. R = 0.961 and p = - 0.007 (<0.05), then H0 rejected and H1 accepted, which means there is a significant relationship between muscle strength with balance. And r = 0.307 and p = 0.138. This value is greater than 0.05 then H0 and H1 rejected, which means there is no significant relationship between the old dance training with balance. Conclusion: There is no relationship factors – factors that affect the classical dance style of Surakarta to the balance on the dancers.
