  • In the modern era, people have a variety of business. This makes the need of transportation becomes higher to support their works in order to run properly. One of many used means of transport is cars. The number of car enthusiasts make the increasing demand for this kind of transportation. In addition, the growing number of cars in Indonesia is also influenced by high incomes of society. This resulted in many car manufacturers in Indonesia compete to offer cars with different models and the advantages of the more interesting and of course with more competitive prices. Based on this background, this study will carry out an analysis of the level of car model acceptance for prospective consumers using linear regression. This method aims to predict a value of the probability density function and the second derivative of a point. The expected results of this research in the form of a linear regression model Y = 0,010-0,187 X1-0,154 X2 + 0,044 X3 + 0,310 X4 + 0,143 X5 + 0,398 X6 sthat can be used to determine the level of acceptance of potential customers to a type of car on the market so that companies car can understand the needs of consumers about a car based on the Buying Price – X1, Maintenance Price – X2, Number Of Doors – X3, Capacity – X4, Size Of Luggage Boot – X5 and Estimated Safety – X6 and dependent variable Car acceptability. The resulting linear regression model was tested in advance so that the model will be valid for further use. The resulting formula is then implemented in a data testing and generate some data is not in accordance with the calculation results.
