- The objectives of our national education are to form dignified characters and students’ manners. However, in fact there are phenomenon of academic fraud on our education activities. The academic fraud now become a common thing and usual to happen in learning activities. This research is conducted to know the psychology dynamics of students’ fraud behaviors at a vocational school, the underlying factors and motivations that leads to the academic fraud. The subject of this research are students of light vehicle engineering program at a vocational school, one of the private schools in Salatiga. The samples of taken from eighty students in X, XI, XII grades. The method of collecting data is questionnaires in the form of Vignette, as the main method and semi- structured interview as the supporting method. In this research, there are four different situations of fraudulent students. They are the situation of doing tasks, quizzes, examinations, and practices. The practice situation has a higher potential of fraud than the three other situations. There are internal and external factors that influence the situations. The most dominant internal factors are self- control and the desire of getting high scores. Meanwhile, the most dominant external factors are the non-supporting environment for studying and peers solidarity. The psychology dynamic that appears is students realize that academic fraud is not allowed at any norms, yet they still do it. Nevertheless, students feel guilty and regret for doing fraud. Some prefer choose to do the tasks or examinations without doing fraud, they believe that the important skills atr vocational schools is individual practice competency
