  • This study aims to: (1) Describe the style of leadership Head of State in KKM Tsanawiyah MTs Negeri Sragen 2016. (2) Describe the style of leadership in KKM Head of Private MTs Negeri Sragen Tsanawiyah 2016. (3) Describe the differences and similarities of leadership style MTs Head of State Private and State in KKM Tsanawiyah Sragen 2016. This research method is descriptive qualitative ethnographic approach. The subject of research is the Head of State and Head of MTs in KKM Tsanawiyah Private MTs Negeri Sragen. Techniques of collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data using triangulation.Analysis of experimental data with data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study as follows: (1) The leadership style Head of State in KKM Tsanawiyah MTs Negeri Sragen in 2016 in the areas of curriculum, student affairs field, infrastructure facilities and public relations, namely, the democratic leadership style. (2) The leadership style Head of Private MTs: (a) MTs Maarif in the areas of curriculum and student that is, the style of charismatic leadership, infrastructure facilities democratic leadership style and public relations paternalist leadership style. (B) MTs Al Ikhsan areas of curriculum, student field and infrastructure facilities namely, the democratic leadership style, the field of public relations charismatic leadership style. (C) MTs Muhammadiyah 6 in the areas of curriculum, student affairs field, infrastructure facilities and public relations, namely, the democratic leadership style. (3) Similarities and differences in leadership style differences Principals of Private and Public Affairs at KKM Tsanawiyah Sragen 2016: (a) The field of curriculum leadership style democratic equation ie, MTs, MTs Al Ikhsan and MTs Muhammadiyah 6.
