- To become a teacher then a prospective educator must have character values. One of them is honesty. But nowadays showed that some of prospective educators do dishonesty on their academic. The purpose of this study is to describe the psychological dynamics of academic dishonesty on prospective educators in the Faculty of Education Studies Program Early Childhood Education at the University of X. This study used a qualitative phenomenological approach. Questionnaires and interviews as the tool of data collection. Subjects were students of semesters 3, 5, and 7, who are taking an academic in the Faculty of Education early childhood program. The results showed that the student has obtained the values of honesty within the family, outside of the family, the Qur'an and Hadith. But the value of honesty is not applied in their academic activities on campus. Academic dishonesty occurs at a prospective educator while working on assignment, Exams Mid term and final exams. The situation that becomes the factor to commit academic dishonesty among others are lack of supervision and the influence of friends. Process-oriented and results-oriented are the main interest in committing academic dishonesty. Students are aware that dishonesty create discomfort. While the honest students protect or against the dishonesty because of their spiritual values and they make honest as their principle. Cause / driver of student academic dishonesty at much influenced by friends cheating, a desire to get a good value, and the disability in answering questions. A form of punishment provided include warnings and penalties. Impact of punishment in the form of psychological and social discomfort. Punishment is considered effective even though there were not effective punishment . Impact penalties against dishonesty behavior that the students would never do it again, would do if friends do and remain to do it again.
